Small break!

I try to create a few new items for sale until Friday. 
I managed to make a few phone holster. They are very interesting to do,  but require a lot of time.

Little time for sewing

Last week I had no time for sewing, almost ....
I managed to finish a quilt, totally! What a relief, something I've done and I really like the black backing.
Since next week we go again (we future business women) to sell our handicrafts, I was able to make only a few small bags and I need to do a couple of things so that I have something to offer.

 Maybe this time we will sell something. Who knows?!

This little bag is really small, but I like the final result.
Something ideal for  small pieces of jewelry or dear little things!

Spring has arrived, almost

The sun appeared shy and I already think it's spring. So I took out my new spring tablecloth. It is very simple, but I managed to make of  some small remnants a nice whole.
Because it lies in a closet for over a month I think it was about time for him to see the light.

Hand quilting

Last few days I try to finish one quilt top that I recently sewed.
I like the construction of the  blocks because they are very simple and beautiful.

It was not difficult or complicated, something that can be done quickly.
Now I hand quilt it with black thread because the back cover is black cotton.

He is pretty big 150 x 200 cm (about 80 x 60 inch)

My published works

Today I realized that the world is a village. Once again.
I found in Burda Community, people who like exactly the same materials and make similar things as me.

I mean, people who live very far prefer the same floral material to make a bag. I made small purses.

 My stuff
As a beginner I may need to describe the environment in which I live. This is a country where quilting is almost unknown or poorly represented. Women are more concerned with knitting and crocheting or sewing clothes.
I have always loved sewing, and I met the patchwork world closer  through a detailed instruction in Burda.
It was a large log cabin quilt.  Since then it has been several years now and I'm trying my love for sewing turning  into something of which I could support my family.

For March 8 - Women's Day  I went with the Mi-Bospo org. that supports women in the business world,  and had for the first time publicly expose my stuff for sale.  

Unfortunately, once I realized that people like nice things but buying only what they need.

Today is my first day on blog-world.

I like to write about my sewing-mania or should I say love. 

When life is not so bright, some sewing-time make it a little bit better.
