two summer bags

Last week, I started to collect all kinds of linen fabric and I managed to get a pair of hand-woven towels. Armed with these treasures I began to sow. To short a long story , the work process was exciting and interesting like the final result.
I think these two summer bags are perfect for every occasion! I love them!
Here I added and a little crocheted flower that I was saving for a special project

Both are spacious and fairly lightweight.

In the first bag I took for the inside a thin, light jeans fabric and sew on linen pocket on it. In the second bag I picked up a brown cotton and white linen and combined pockets of them.

Another detail: pearl button, a flower and a little amateur embroidery.

roses and a bag, again

This wonderful material I decided to spend to the last inch.
I combined it with a dark blue flax, and each side I quilted differently. The result is not bad but there are room for improvement!

Inside I put two pockets, all in various shades of blue.

In the end, just to show what is currently on my shoulder when I go somewhere!

It's a reversible bag. There is no batting, just two layers of fabric with a pocket and a button.

Another reversible bag that has not received the attention it deserves!

back in black

I finally finished my black / roses purse.

The interior is in leoprint, not really an ideal solution, but padded, soft and lightweight and has long been in the drawer.

bags and pillowcases

During a visit to my parents, I saw pillowcases that I made for my mom last year.
Mom is my biggest fan who encourages me and my work and major donor of  fabric.

Making this floral pillow was so much fun. It was interesting to look everywhere for floral fabric.
I used some old clothes so this is also a pillowcase full of memories.

Before starting the trip, I managed to make a bag.

Now I admit that I really became addicted to bags!!

My mother in law gave me a few crocheted pieces, they were lying in a drawer for 20-30 years.
I was delighted by their unusual shapes and fantastic quality of cotton thread. I assembling them with a rough linen and an additional layer of bating.
The result is ..... judge for yourselves (fantastic).
I plan to make a few more!

I love to sew...

Since I bought a new fabric I had of course immediately sew something from it.
A new tablecloth was the best way to try these wonderful colors.

One small napkin is created by the way, I did not want to leave any piece in which they were fused beautiful fabrics and neat work.

And so I made a third run: a little mug rugg.
The back of the three pieces is a lightweight waterproof canvas in pastel tones.
Last but not least, there is a half-done bag, the model of the bag from a few days ago that is now my favorite piece and I wear it everywhere.
I think the combination with black twill be even prettier. Compare for yourself!
